I am currently producing some resources for an autism music specialist, which involves some illustration and some hands-on craft work! I also have a commission to re-design a sign for a Christian Healing and Art Centre in Scotland. These are keeping me busy, along with another watercolour of my local area and Christmas cards. Thank you for visiting my site!

I've been working on some new projects this summer. Check them out under the heading 'Graphic Design'. After a trip to Colonsay, watch this space for some sea-inspired art work. I've just completed a watercolour commission of a local scene, which will be uploaded to this site soon. Thank you for all your support!

My final major project, an illustrated synopsis of Peer Gynt, is now finished. I've enjoyed it so much, particularly the discovery that I love drawing characters in ink. The binder (Christiane at Book2Bind, near Durham)has done a great job so far and I'll be picking up the final book in the next couple of days. I'll post the time of the Design Show as soon as I find out, but it'll be about 5 or 6pm on 25 June. All welcome!

I've spoken on Sun FM and Real Radio about my work for IfUCareShare and will be on Radio Newcastle with Shirley Smith, who heads the charity, tomorrow morning. It's been exciting to see my logo in print and apparently there is an 8' version of my 'punctuation pyramid' poster! The logo has generated interest from some leading marketing people.

I'm currently working on my final Major Project, an illustrated version of Peer Gynt by Henrik Ibsen (following in the mighty footsteps of Arthur Rackham and Per Krohg!). It's really enjoyable - I work in ink, acrylic and then manipulate my work in Adobe Photoshop. I prefer to add text using Adobe InDesign. It's a natural follow-on from my interest in Scandinavian folk tales. The final show for The University of Sunderland opens on 25 June 2010 and my work can be viewed there all week.
